After spending the entire day shopping at Macy's, we went with Kelly to an Ethiopian restaurant, then out to a small jazz bar for the best cocktail ever!

Coutinuing with the touristy stuff, we went to the Top of the Rock to see the amazing views of the city from up there. Afterwards we walked up fifth avenue to Central Park, and in the evening we met up with Kelly and went to Comedy Corner.

At the hostel reception, we met the cutest little asian girl we had ever seen: Kelly from Singapore. She told us she had just arrived, and had just signed up to the Club Tour arranged by the hostel. We signed up immediately, of course!

After a few intense days of partying and being mostly hung over doing nothing during the days, we decided we should finally get our act together and do some touristy stuff. It was a bit late when we finally got up and moving, but we eventually managed to get on a subway all the way down to South Ferry, to go see the Statue of Liberty.

We were tired and hung over, and just wanted to do nothing. But the crew at the hostel wanted to go out clubbing, and how could we resist? So after a quiet day midtown, we headed back to the hostel, dressed up, and someone pulled out a deck of cards.

We had seen a poster online, saying there was a hiphop party in queens, at this place called La Oveja Negra. We had no idea where that would be, but decided to get over there and check it out.

We were doing an experiment, drunken shopping in the daytime. One beer on each pub, then move on. We went through SoHo this way, then decided to start a party at the hostel.

I'd really been looking forward to this: A visit to the Graffiti Wall of Fame in Harlem. And we were fortunate to have Alyssa, the hip hop dance teacher with us as well! We took the subway up there and had so much fun playing around in that schoolyard!

After doing nothing yesterday, except sleeping in late and mindlessly walking around looking at the bright and shiny lights of Time Square, we had to do something crazy wild today. And what sounds more crazy then going to the new museum of contemporary art? El nada!

We had two Jay-z tickets and one problem: The concert was like 200 miles outside the city, in a indian reservation called Mohegan way up in Conneticut. So we figured we had to rent a car to get there. And thus our US road trip began:

After a delightful flight (yes, really!), a couple of train rides and a unlicensed taxi ride we finally arrived at Jazz hostel on Times Square. Hanging out on the hostel was more interesting than we thought, especially the roof was awesome!
